03 Nov BAZI Defies Energy Drink Conventions
The Westword Blog recently released a list of foods and drinks that are most likely to kill us. While some easy targets like diet soda, margarine, and Olean made the list, the number 1 culprit was energy drinks:
1. Energy Drinks: The beginning of the energy-drink phenomenon was like a honeymoon — a blissful adrenaline rush of delicious ignorance, or an amped-up adventure blind to impending doom. You could have one zillion times the amount of caffeine in coffee! Energy drinks brought us cold, fruity, bubbly highs and were suddenly available in every gas station and supermarket in existence. Once again, research studies ruined everyone’s buzz: too much sugar, too much caffeine and too many brain-chemistry-altering chemicals. And then everyone started mixing energy drinks with liquor and the shit really hit the fan (we’re looking at you, Four Loko).
Wow. These harsh words are in no way intended for BAZI. It is our competitors who put a whole bunch of bull in their drinks. A lot of the other guys’ energy drinks contain harmful chemicals, elevated levels of sugar and caffeine, and a whole bunch of artificial stimulants. The warning labels on these UAFs (Unhealthy, Artifical Fix) should be enough to keep consumers away. These horrible UAFs are only temporary Band-Aids and when you peel away their trendy logos you’re left with weird formulaic jargon, unpronounceable ingredients, and a throbbing headache. I feel jittery just reading the ingredients from Monster Energy Drink:
carbonated water, sucrose, glucose, citric acid, natural flavors, taurine, sodium citrate, color added, panax ginseng, root extract, L-carnitine, caffeine, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, niacinamide, sodium chloride, glucuronolactone, inositol, hydrochloride, sucralose, riboflavin, maltodextrin, cyanocobalamin
We wish that the Westword Blog did their homework and at least gave BAZI a shout out as the exception. BAZI’s energy boost does not come from our sugar (only 16 g) or caffeine (only 80 mg). Our all natural energy is powered by mother earth’s 8 best superfruits. Acai, Jujube, Seabuckthorn, Raspberry, Blueberry, Mangosteen, Goji, and Pomegranate are all packed into one great-tasting, 2 ounce shot! BAZI’s ORAC value of 2,212 is unmatched. BAZI is an antioxidant superpower that fuels and protects down to the cellular level. No warning label – just right!
